Joan Muir

I am passionate about serving couples and families.

When there is conflict in our family, when our romantic relationship breaks down, when marriage is a daily burden rather than a joyful experience, it can be really painful. Getting professional help before a crisis is a great idea. But if you are in crisis, do not despair. I can help you. Working together, we can transform any broken relationship.

About Me

Maintaining healthy family and romantic relationships is important to all of us. If you are struggling with a breakdown in a family relationship, need help with parenting a troubled teen, or dealing with family conflict, I can help you. If you are preparing for marriage, want to increase your marital satisfaction, facing a break up of a serious relationship, or contemplating divorce, I have the expertise to help you. I am a clinical psychologist who has developed family therapy models for troubled youth and implemented family therapy programs all over the world. I have over twenty years of experience in restoring troubled relationships

Dr. Muir has transformed hundreds of couples and families in her private practice.

I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University, completed my internship at Yale University and the post-doctoral fellowship in adolescent psychology at Columbia University.
